2025 World’s Top 2% Scientists Announced, Multiple Scholars from SUES Enlisted

The  highly anticipated 2025 World’s Top 2% Scientists, a collaborative  release by Stanford University and the esteemed academic publisher  Elsevier, has recently been announced. This globally recognized list  identifies scientists with the most significant lifelong scientific  impact and those with the most notable influence in 2025, based on a  comprehensive analysis of metrics such as the number of publications and  citations. According to the list, China has demonstrated remarkable  achievements in technological innovation and talent cultivation, with  12,374 scholars named in the “Lifetime Scientific Impact” list and  31,685 in the “2025 Annual Scientific Impact” list. SUES has proudly  become home to 8 scholars include in the lifetime list and 18 in the  annual list.


  


  

The honorees for the Lifetime Scientific Impact list are: Wan Shuping, Yin  Xuebo, An Wei, Zhou Nanrun, Sheng Xiaozhen, Lu Qinghua, Wang Yansong,  and Zhang Hengyun. Among them, the scholars of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering are:  Yin  Xuebo and  An Wei.



  

The honorees for the 2025 Annual Scientific Impact list are: Wan Shuping,  Yin Xuebo, Zhou Nanrun, Zhang Hengyun, Sheng Xiaozhen, Gong Lihua, Lu  Qinghua, An Wei, Kai Yue, Lu Jie, Zhang Lijuan, Zhang Peilei, Zhang Min,  Wang Yansong, Xiao Changfa, Yang Jin, Liu Xintian, and Shan Hongli. Among them, the scholars of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering are: Yin Xuebo, An Wei, Lu Jie, Zhang Lijuan,  Zhang Min, and Shan Hongli.



  

This  recognition underscores the substantial global influence of SUES  scholars in their respective fields, reflecting the effectiveness of  SUES’ disciplinary development and the strength of its research  capabilities. It also plays a positive role in further enhancing SUES’  international reputation.
